About Us Vision and Mission Our Vision, Mission and Values Love4Life (Twenty Twenty) is run by a dedicated team of youth workers committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. Our service was set up in 2007 in response to a growing concern for the well-being and safety of girls* from an estate in Loughborough. Since then, Love4Life (Twenty Twenty) has grown to work across multiple areas of deprivation across North Leicestershire, Leicester and Derby: supporting hundreds of young people aged 11-18 years every year. Our Vision A world where every young person knows their worth and is empowered to build a life they love. Our Mission Giving young people the tools they need to build the confidence and resilience to make positive choices for their health and relationships. We specialise in supporting vulnerable girls to develop their self-esteem and form positive and empowering relationships by delivering Love4Life (Twenty Twenty) groups, one-to-ones and workshops in secondary schools and in the community. All of our work embeds positive self-worth, body image and handling of emotions to help a young person become more resilient. We aim to support and develop young people's understanding of themselves and empower them to break cycles of low achievement and poverty by tackling the underlying issues. We believe that once young people feel good about themselves, they will make positive choices in their health, relationships and education. Our Values Honesty - Our support is clear and to the point, aiming to form authentic relationships that develop real and open conversations and answers. Empowerment - We want to see young people gain confidence, build resilience and make positive choices for their lives. Acceptance - We value individuality and diversity, welcoming young people just as they are, creating a non-judgemental environment for them. Respect - We believe in equality, and that young people deserve the opportunity to be listened to, and treated as we would want to be treated. Trust - We want to see positive and healthy relationships for all; we aim to build trusting and lasting relationships to enable long-term impact. “Love4Life is a credible and highly respected organisation which continues to improve and expand its services for teenage girls/young women. We have awarded a number of grants to Love4Life over the years. The grants have helped the organisation to enhance the delivery of its excellent services through the purchase of equipment and resources, as well as the recruitment of additional staff to help meet the increasing demands for its services. Love4Life has always achieved robust outcomes and impacts with the funding we have awarded. We regularly receive compelling testimonials and case studies to demonstrate the difference our funding has made to the lives of the girls and young women supported. Love4Life’s annual Celebration Event provides a fantastic opportunity for the young people it has supported to shine in front of an audience of their peers, family members and supporters (including funders). Hearing the young people’s stories of change first-hand is another reason we are confident in the organisation’s ability to change lives.” Andy HayesGrants and Funding Officer - Leicestershire County Council Manage Cookie Preferences
