London Marathon 2027 - Sponsor Donate Fundraise Four wonderful runners are taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon to raise vital funds for Love4Life (Twenty Twenty). Every pound you sponsor her with will help us continue empowering vulnerable young people aged 11–18 to build confidence, resilience, and make positive choices in their health, relationships, and education. Here is a story from a young person Love4Life (Twenty Twenty) recently supported: When Priya first met with the youth worker, she described feeling stuck and uncertain about her future. She was not in college, had never worked, and was still processing the trauma of a sexual assault. The youth worker encouraged Priya to take small, manageable steps forward. Priya began applying for jobs, though she doubted her abilities and was dismissive about available roles. She was encouraged to see any position as an opportunity to build confidence and structure. After trying a trial shift she did not enjoy, Priya surprised herself by deciding to return to college, setting her sights on training as a midwife - an option she had previously dismissed. Around this time, Priya started dating again for the first time in a year. She shared experiences that included poor boundaries and situations where she felt used. The youth worker provided space to reflect on pacing relationships, recognising red flags, and maintaining her own comfort and consent. Priya began viewing these situations as valuable learning experiences rather than personal failures. As her confidence grew, Priya obtained her driving licence, began going out socially, and stopped avoiding public places for fear of encountering her ex-partner. When such encounters did happen, she bravely stayed calm and used them as moments to recognise her progress. By the end of the support, Priya had built opportunities for herself across work, education, and personal life. She had secured a recruiter role with a strong starting salary and was also considering continuing her education with a goal of going to university. In her final sessions, Priya reflected that the focus of their work had shifted from the assault and its aftermath to her future goals. She no longer woke up thinking about what had happened; instead, she started her days with a new question: “What am I going to do with my life today?” For her, that shift was the most significant achievement. Your support has the power to change lives - just like Priya’s. When Priya first came to us, she was struggling with trauma, low self-belief, and uncertainty about her future. With the support of a Love4Life youth worker, she rebuilt her confidence, returned to education, and secured her first job. Today, she is focused on her future and no longer defined by her past. By sponsoring, you are not just backing her marathon journey - you are giving young people like Priya the chance to heal, grow, and thrive. Manage Cookie Preferences
